Every Summer, the Town of Schuyler, in conjunction with the Town's Recreation Commission, the Fire Dept., and a number of volunteers from the community, holds an annual community-wide Extravaganza at the Canal Lock 19 Park on Route 5, Schuyler. The event, held on a Saturday evening from 6 to 9 PM, includes  a Classic Car Show with local Classic Car-Show DJ Sal Stokes, and trophies awarded to the winners of "People's Choice."  Clowns, Balloons, Displays, and Food are featured.  The evening's events is climaxed with a gigantic fireworks display at dusk.
